WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Jan 29)

3. Same Old Day

The New Day

New Day is supposed to be the main comedy act of WWE, but they say something funny roughly once a month. Meanwhile Rusev can usually be counted on for at least one good line almost every time out, and he only gets a fraction of the screen time that they do. Questioning why Big E and Big Cass needed to be called "Big" was a fair point, and saying how he should be called "Handsome" Rusev was good for a laugh as well. If only he weren't so evil, then we could freely cheer him!

New Day came out on Raw and said they had been “rudely interrupted” the past few weeks. Finally they could tell us what was on their mind, which was claiming they were going to all win the Royal Rumble together, and then go to WrestleMania and all become the Universal Champion together. So basically, Titus O'Neil has been saving us from their bull***t, because that’s not a thing that can happen. And it took them four weeks to say that? If they spent less time humping the air, they could have got to their point much sooner.

Also, Big Cass and Enzo came out and did their entire pre-match routine when they interrupted New Day. It's just kind of weird that New Day didn't interrupt them in return. They had like a minute to say anything while Enzo was doing his thing. Basically, this segment further solidified that New Day is spinning their wheels by performing material that gets more stale by the week.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
