WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Jan 3)

6. The Boring Chant

Well that€™s not good. Perhaps the short, afterthought of a match featuring the Divas on SmackDown was in response to the crowd not caring about Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks on Raw. But actually, why should they have cared? Again, that€™s not a knock on the women, as they have proven to be great wrestlers, but from a storyline standpoint, we have not been given a reason to be invested in either character. Becky has been pushed as one of the biggest fools on the roster. Her friend Charlotte is pulling one over on her, and everyone knows it but her. Sasha, meanwhile, has been in terrible, awful segments with Team B.A.D. and hasn€™t established herself as an individual. From what we've seen on the main roster, what does being The Boss even mean? Asking them to go nearly 16 minutes was a disaster waiting to happen. The two went even longer than they did at NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable, and that€™s when the NXT Women€™s Championship was on the line. This had nothing at stake. It didn€™t matter who won, as neither one would effectively move up the card. Hence, the boring chant. Imagine if even half of the attention paid to getting the McMahon family over was given to Sasha and Becky, the company would be in a far better place.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
