WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Jan 4)

6. 5-Second Rose

WWE doesn€™t believe in giving their heels any heat, which is why Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins are the only over bad guys on the roster. With Adam Rose recently turning against The Bunny, he could use some protection during his transition. That€™s just not happening. On Main Event, Edge and Christian opened the show and had Rose as their guest on the Cutting Edge Peep Show. While Edge and Christian (who I just praised in the last slide) were funny in their late 20s as obnoxious heels talking about people being reekazoids and whatnot, it doesn€™t transition well into early 40s. It wasn€™t quite as painful as watching D-Generation X pretending to be 14 when they were 40, but it still wasn€™t good. It was hard not to lose a bit of respect for them as they talked about how awesome the Bunny is. Anyway, when Rose wanted the Rosebuds to follow him, they all decided to stay for a 5-second pose. He looked foolish, but not in a way that€™s going to benefit his character. Then on SmackDown, he was the one who took the pinfall in the 9,000th variation of Usos vs. Gold and Stardust. Surely R-Truth could have taken the fall instead? But then we wouldn€™t have got to see the winning team all dance for us.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
