3. Cesaro The Hero
As much as I respect Cesaro’s in-ring work, I respect him a hell of a lot more now for pointing out how absurd this authority garbage is. I love Daniel Bryan, but if all he’s going to do be is a pawn in this Shane McMahon vs. Stephanie McMahon storyline, then I’d rather have him be off of TV. He can be an announcer, or come back later as a special referee or something, but I’m not interested at all in watching him in this role.
JoJo looked legitimately uncomfortable as Cesaro was speaking his mind, and it was great to watch. She’s someone towing the company line that the battles for power are the biggest thing going (which 99% of the employees also go along with), and she had no idea how to react to Cesaro shattering that ill-conceived way of promoting the product.
The “worst” here is not Cesaro at all, but the fact that this entire draft has been presented as nothing more than McMahon vs. McMahon, which ran its course in the year 2000. Speaking of the year 2000...
