“Who brings a sandwich to a talk show?-The Miz

WWE wants us to think that ONLY A LUNATIC would bring a sandwich to MizTV. Oh my God, he’s insane! Lock this man up! You know what. I don’t get it. If Roman Reigns brought out a sandwich to MizTV, started acting all cute, and purposefully had some crumbs on his face, people would lose their minds over how terrible it was. Yet Ambrose largely gets a pass. I’m not sure why anymore.

Dean is confident on the mic, but his material is awful. Even if he delivers his lines well, he’s delivering really bad lines. For example, Miz called Dean’s plant stupid, and Dean gets mad and says “Don’t you ever talk about Mitch that way!” Ah. Because he loves his plant and thinks it's a human. Got it.

This man doesn’t seem like a dangerous and edgy babyface, he feels like he should be the wacky neighbor on a Nickelodeon sitcom. Dean as a heel in The Shield was one of the best things in all of wrestling, but WWE does this incredible job of taking cool heels, and turning them into sanitized goofs that love to joke around.

The fact that JBL and Stephanie McMahon constantly lose their minds over Dean is badly forced, because it’s a really bad rerun of Steve Austin without any authenticity. Austin made sense because he actually did crazy dangerous and reckless things that could have killed people. Dean? He just brings a sandwich to the ring.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
