WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (June 19)

6. Steph And Shane Split

WWE spent weeks getting across the storyline that Stephanie and Shane were slowly warming up to each other after they were forced to share power. It wasnt good, or interesting, but it was a thing they created and spent valuable TV time on. There were a couple of signs that Steph was deceiving her brother, but this week they seemed to have skipped the next part in the story. Weve jumped right over Shane being suspicious of her motivations, and gone right into them arguing over absolutely everything. Is this how its going to go?

During the first brand split, Ric Flair was a great choice to pick as the owner of Raw. It would be nice to see the company go in a direction like that again, as opposed to the one were headed in. Theres just nothing all that believable, or interesting about which McMahon has the better show. It not only badly damages the entire idea of competition between the two brands, but it also once again pushes every wrestler into the background, because a power struggle storyline is apparently more important.

Its a bit frustrating that the upcoming split so far has only been based around the McMahons, and who gets what. I dont get the sense that fans are all that enthused of a few more months, or even years of McMahon family member vs. McMahon family member. The ratings sure as hell dont make it look like that many people are interested in whats going on...

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
