WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (March 15)
5. Poor Roman
Paul Heyman is a master promo guy, but this week may have been one of his rare misfires. For the most part, he was excellent, but when he began to talk about Roman Reigns' in his younger years, things got a little strange. What kind of messed up childhood did Roman have if he had to beat up a bunch of people in order to go home and have dinner? Apparently he had to go to the beach and fight a bunch of jocks who were just hanging out minding their own business. That sounds horrible for everyone involved. It's also a bit strange as Roman was a jock football player in high school. Im not sure how Im supposed to feel about this strange turn of events. I mean, Roman hurt a lot of innocent people in his life which...I guess was expected of him? So am I supposed to feel sympathy for him? Or am I supposed to feel empathy for his victims and want him to apologize to them? Is that what Paul was going for? Because those are some confusing emotions for building a wrestling battle.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
