WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (March 8)
7. Intercontinental Blues
This week on Smackdown Dolph Ziggler said Last year winning this (Intercontinental) title just didnt change my career. It changed my life. Huh. Thats odd. Did it change his life when he first won it in 2010? How about the other two times he held it in 2014? If it changed his life so much, then why couldnt he hold onto the thing for even two months? I mean Curtis Axel and Santino had longer runs with the belt than he did! WWE is trying to make fans care about the Intercontinental title for the next few weeks, even though they themselves havent cared about it since 1992. A big problem is that comedy act R-Truth is getting the most screen time of anyone, and is ruining any chance of fans taking it seriously. Truth and Luke Harper never even get to win matches so why do they get to join anyway? Seriously, Harper hasnt won a match on Raw or SmackDown since January 20th, and before Truth beat Wade Barrett a couple weeks ago, he hadnt won since November! Lastly, the company seems to think putting Daniel Bryan in the match will be some sort of nice consolation prize for him. Despite Brock vs. Bryan being a far more natural, popular feud, were getting Bryan fighting for a belt that he should have no interest in. Hopefully he does us all a favor and injures the title itself, so it can take a year off. They can try again after that to make it relevant.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
