6. Ambrose Closes The Show

I have no idea why I was expecting more, but I was. Stupid me! After Chris Jericho was attacked on Raw, and someone stole his jacket, I got excited. I thought this mystery person was someone new like Finn Balor, or hey, maybe Bobby Roode. I had flashbacks to Diamond Dallas Page debuting in WWE by taking off the stalker mask. Instead, it was just your everyday wacky Dean Ambrose.

Again, there was no reason for me to expect more (except for the whole new era thing they keep shoving down our throats), but Ambrose was not a good enough substitute for Big Cass. And if this non-match was the plan all along, they shouldnt have ended the show on it. Dean missing out on last weeks SmackDown then returning on Raw wasnt much of a shock. A gigantic plant to the back of the head doesnt keep you out of work as long as it used to.

The idea of Cass in the main event felt fresh, and would have given him a big rub. It was what I was looking forward to the most on the show, and then, we didnt get it. Sadly, they took things one step further with the dud ending.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
