WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (May 29)

3. Stop Fighting It!

Over the past couple of years there have been a lot of chances to turn Roman Reigns heel. Actually any episode of Raw or SmackDown would have worked. I would settle for a turn on Main Event that I didnt even watch if it meant WWE would stop being so stubborn. One of the best opportunities they had was this past week after Seth Rollins return. A classic double turn seemed like a great idea. It was so logical, that not doing it would be a fool's choice! Ah, but such is life in WWE.

Rollins received a huge pop from the crowd when he came back at Extreme Rules. He has a sympathetic storyline backing him after his injury, and he feels fresh again. All the company had to do was ride that momentum, and make him an actual, cool top babyface, which the company does not have one of. On Raw, though, they chose the more difficult route by trying to get people to boo Rollins. He tried to run down the crowd repeatedly, and still, the weren't really having it. When Roman finally came out, he was booed more than the heel in the feud. So why not just turn the guy that the majority of fans already hate?

Later on SmackDown, Seth still received a big hero's welcome. Well played WWE. The man could insult us, punch our dads in the stomach, eat our dogs, and steal our mail, and we would still like him more than Roman Reigns.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
