WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (May 8)

2. Do They Know What €œNew€ Means?

If you€™re going to go on TV and flap your yap at a pay-per-view for 20 minutes, then the news that is being delivered better be pretty, pretty big. Payback€™s special announcement was not. Vince wants to give Shane and Stephanie equal control of Raw, which makes absolutely no sense from a variety of factors. It€™s also hugely underwhelming. Another brand split would have been something, or Shane heading up NXT replacing SmackDown would have been worth that time. The death plan failed, so he gave him control over Raw just because. He then didn€™t give Steph her job back, and now wants his children to tear each other apart on-air, and willingly gives them Raw to destroy...which kind of puts his company at risk. I don€™t get it.

Besides, nothing says €œNOT new era€ more than McMahons in power, because that€™s kind of what€™s been happening since 1997. Speaking of 1997, in 2016, WWE once again dug up the corpse of that year€™s most infamous angle...

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
