WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Nov 13)
6 Lame Duck Booking
TNA was fine this week. Nothing horrible happened, nothing amazing happened (except for Matt Hardy’s transition into a carpenter building a second dining room), but the problem now is that the show once again feels unimportant.
With Billy Corgan out, and new creative team members bound to come in, we’re in for more big changes. The company seemed to be finding a little bit of a groove with their current creative direction, and now that’s about to be shaken up again. It could end up working out better for them, but it’s going to be hard to get invested in the next few weeks knowing that the pre-recorded shows we’re watching now might not even matter.
This has happened multiple times in the past for TNA, and it’s getting incredibly old. Before Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff came in, there was basically a couple months worth of Impacts that felt pointless (though were actually fairly entertaining without so much over-booking). Then the various moves from one network to the next have all resulted in a series of episodes with a similar pointless feeling.
Hopefully whoever takes over creative comes up with some long term plans, as this constant reshuffling has made becoming a TNA fan even more of a hassle.
