WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Nov 13)

5. Hawkins’ Revenge

Last week Curt Hawkins was presented as a gigantic idiot when he lost to Dolph Ziggler in a matter of seconds. Okay, fine. If that’s the route that the company wants to go, then just go with it. Heath Slater has done well for himself over the majority of his career playing a hapless heel, so maybe with his recent ascension, Hawkins could move into that role.

This week they changed course and gave him a win over Apollo Crews. That win does nothing for Hawkins, as they’ve already established that he sucks. What it does is bring down Crews with him. Now, we have two men who are terrible at professional fighting on a roster that can’t afford to have two men presented that way.

Crews must have really pissed someone off, as his quick push from NXT to WWE seemed like good things were in store with him. A low draft pick, disappearing for a few weeks and then a quick job to the current biggest joke on SmackDown has killed any chance of him being a legitimate threat for months, if not much longer.

If someone backstage has been personally offended by him, then they should have settled their differences off-screen. It’s frustrating to watch two more talented guys be a victim of WWE’s haphazard booking, but some things sadly never change.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
