WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Nov 13)

3. Shane Plays Tough Guy Again

Let’s just start with the obvious: Shane McMahon has the weakest punches of any wrestler since Sid Vicious. His MMA moveset is sloppy. He sounds like he’s about to have a panic attack every time he’s on TV these days for some reason. He hasn’t won a wrestling match since 2009. Simply, he should not be playing the role of a professional wrestler anymore, and maybe he never should have. And really, if being onscreen is stressing him out to such great lengths, then for his own well-being he should try and find a behind-the-scenes role!

Baron Corbin went down with an injury, and Daniel Bryan’s master plan was to pick his boss to fill-in for him, likely because he's a big suck up and wants a raise. Now we’re once again supposed to believe in Shane somehow being credible against the likes of Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. His involvement just brings everyone down a notch by having to pretend he can actually fight. I would take Verne Gagne in his 60s or Lou Thesz in his 70s fighting by my side over a 46 year old Shane in a barroom brawl.

Besides, in 2001, Shane failed to save WCW at Survivor Series, and while that brand truly died for good that night, Shane’s legacy of competing in high-profile matches that should be given to a full-time talent lives on.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
