WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Nov 15)

5. Rooney!

Wayne Rooney is popular I hear. I€™m not much of a sports guy, so I didn€™t know who he was before Monday€™s Raw. That€™s probably more of a knock on my knowledge about non-predetermined sports than anything, but I just saw this non-wrestler slap Wade Barrett in the face, and he sold it like he€™d been shot. I will never, ever, understand WWE continually pushing non-fighters over their own talent. If Rooney can make Wade look so foolish, so easily, shouldn€™t he be in the company instead? It took Neville 15 minutes to beat King Barrett on SmackDown, Rooney could do it in like five seconds. Why am I watching second rate fighters, who can get beat up by football players and that guy from Arrow? Mike Tyson knocking out Shawn Michaels after a match at WrestleMania 14? Makes sense. The guy is trained to punch people in the face. Stephanie McMahon selling for the first time in the past decade for Ronda Rousey made sense as well. Couldn€™t WWE have asked Rooney to take the punch instead? Would that have hurt his career or anything? Probably not, but it sure makes Barrett look like a wuss. But hey, publicity, right?

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
