WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Nov 20)

Mick Foley had a bad week in WWE.

At the State of the WWE Universe, he seemed to forget that he was there to promote Survivor Series and started going into a lengthy charity spiel. A good cause, but you could tell everyone else in the segment wanted to get him back on track.

How can you promote brand warfare when a man is trying to sell charitable socks? He also had Daniel Bryan digging into him, and making some damn good points (“you didn’t come out of nowhere! You were in WCW and ECW!”, "you left for TNA!"). One of the best promo men in the history of the business looked badly out of his element that night.

From an authority figure standpoint, he also reached a low point on Raw, as he revealed he firmly believes that Brian Kendrick can save the Cruiserweight Division. Now, as the General Manager, he basically revealed he doesn't even watch his own show. Rich Swann has beaten Kendrick twice, and the only reason he won the title at all is because he faked an injury!

This isn’t all Mick’s fault, as he was scripted to put an entire division on the line, but they sure made him look more out-of-touch than usual.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
