WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Nov 20)

2. Is This The End?

Brian Kendrick Sin Cara

If Brian Kendrick vs. Sin Cara was the last Cruiserweight match on Raw, in the words of Ron Simmons, the world should let out a collective “DAMN!”

I feel like Vince McMahon purposefully sabotaged the entire division. I have absolutely no proof of that. No recorded audio of him burying Noam Dar, or asking what a Lince Dorado is, but as the head of his company, how can he not know any better?

I’m going to say this in the most polite way that I possibly can: nobody gives a single damn about Sin Cara. Not even half a damn. Maybe a third of a damn, but even that is stretching it. No one wants to see him in a nearly 12 minute match on Raw fighting the Cruiserweight Champion. That gimmick will never, ever get over. WWE could hire Ricochet and put him under the mask, and it would be doomed to fail. If they want to repackage Hunico, then go for it, but he’s not what the company should be presenting as a Cruiserweight in 2016.

Sin Cara is not quick, he’s not agile, he’s just a normal sized dude in a mask hitting moves at half the speed of his contemporaries. Monday’s match just made it frustrating to think that’s what Vince thinks Cruiserweights are, because he doesn’t remember why they got over in WCW. If they want to punish Cara for making noises on a bus, then do it off air. Don't punish us with a lengthy match of his!

I’d like to think that we should be more hopeful for the division to go to SmackDown, but the same guy who failed them on Raw will likely fail them at their new home. I’m sorry to be pessimistic, but believing they’ll suddenly get better treatment will likely only make things sting worse when Baron Corbin beats the entire division in a gauntlet match.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
