WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Nov 6)

6. Hawkins Does The JOB

Dolph Ziggler Curt Hawkins

Ah, I should have known better. WWE has a lot of dumb comedy characters who are completely ineffective in the ring, from the low mid-card all the way up to the main event, but apparently they don’t have enough.

After months of vignettes, Curt Hawkins finally stepped back into a WWE ring. Well, the poor guy had his name typed in by Dasha Fuentes apparently, as he was introduced as “Hawkings” twice on-screen. And then, he enjoyed a roughly five second loss to Dolph Ziggler, who pulled a Sheamus from WrestleMania 28 and just kicked his opponent in the face the second he turned around. Radical babyface move!

So what now for Hawkins? He’s just the 2016 version of Planet Stasiak and loses all the time in embarrassing fashion? They’re not even going to give the guy a chance to get over on TV? When he was contacted to be a part of the brand split, you can only imagine this isn’t what he signed up for.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
