Okay, so if WWE is serious about doing this whole Raw vs. SmackDown thing, which they are, because every segment Stephanie is in she tells us about facing “SmackDown Live!” (why do people always have to say “live?" Nobody says "Raw live"), then why do they still half-ass it so much?

At Hell in a Cell, Mauro Ranallo worked the pre-show with Corey Graves, so they could get a feel of what they’d be like working together for the unfortunately titled 205 Live. So how did that come about? Did Steph and Shane have brunch at their dad's mansion, and decide to put their differences aside all in the name of a bunch of guys who weigh under 205 lbs?

Second of all, why does Renee Young host both the after shows for Raw and SmackDown? Which side is she on? If WWE didn’t position the brands as being enemies, then it wouldn’t matter. But overlooking small details is maddening. Either don’t do it (preferable, as no one is ever going to buy one Vince McMahon show vs. another Vince McMahon show) or go all-in. This is WWE though, where details don’t really matter.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
