WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Sept 13)
5. Once Was More Than Enough
I tried. I really did. I didnt want to talk about the Lana/Rusev/Dolph/Summer Rae rectangle love affair of dog vomit this week. With Lanas recent injury, maybe there was potential that wed even get some time off from it. But we did not, so it must be spoken of. Someone in creative really loves this awful story to a disturbing degree, and must assume that fans are really enjoying it as well, despite the apathetic to hostile crowd reactions to it. While there were no dead fish or Dolph in a towel moments on Raw, what was so exceedingly dumb about this weeks continuation was the video that was produced, complete with voiceover and text on the screen OMG! Yes, exactly! Oh My God why am I watching this? Not only was this cheesy, ridiculous video shown once on the show, but they played it in its entirety TWICE! The second time it was even introduced by Summer...even though that makes no sense, because the video clearly shows her trying to sneak into Dolphs locker room, and not being invited like her explanation suggested. Remember when Rusev fought John Cena at WrestleMania five months ago? Remember when Dolph Ziggler was almost a main-eventer? Remember the good old days of wrestling? Which in this case, is not The Attitude Era, or Rock 'n Wrestling Era, it was the time right before this storyline started.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
