WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Sept 17)

3. Go Away Kid I’ve Never Heard Of!

Some annoying kid who admitted he’s never been to a wrestling event, who stars on a Nickelodeon show I’ve never heard of and who was a pretty damn terrible actor to boot, went over on The Miz this week at Backlash.

So I'm just trying to understand this all...The Miz cuts the promo of his career, and he’s gifted with having to act like a moron to Nickelodeon kid (I refuse to look up his name!).

I’m struggling to find out why WWE does stuff like this. For starters, if a kid is watching, they already have the Network, so seeing one of their favorite actors isn’t going to get them to spend their allowance money on ordering Backlash. Second of all, no adult is going to be entertained by this.

Third of all, it makes Miz look like an idiot after he’s been doing one hell of a job making the Intercontinental Title feel important again. Now WWE has been in love with celebrities ever since WrestleMania I, but come on, even Macaulay Culkin in his prime in 1990 shouldn’t have been put over Intercontinental Champion Mr. Perfect.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
