WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Sept 17)
2. All About The Game. Always.
You know the crowd chanting “Thank you Hunter” is EXACTLY the reaction that Hunter wanted at the Cruiserweight Classic finale. He may have died from insecurity without it.
So let me get this straight, Papa Hunter doesn’t have two damn minutes to show up on Raw to explain why he turned on Seth Rollins, but he’s free to show up and look like a hero on the CWC main event?
Now some may argue that it shouldn’t be a big deal, since he’s playing a different role on NXT/CWC. Well, then why did some fifty minutes into the show was a video aired of Hunter giving Roman and Rollins the Pedigree as a tease for Raw?
WWE’s presentation of their shows is idiotic. Actually, no. That's not harsh enough. It's incredible idiotic, with virtually no redeeming qualities to it whatsoever. Their stories are an incomprehensible mess. Now, the wrestling is quite good, so there's that. But the way the company presents their talent and their shows is costing the wrestlers untold amounts of money by turning so many fans off.
So they try to have their cake and eat it too, because in one WWE “universe" Triple H is a proud papa. He’s a man who gifts us with all this great wrestling. Just like Steph selflessly gave us the Divas Revolution and The Women’s Division. However, they still expect us to boo him come Monday nights...when he decides to show up.
But that doesn’t work, because they don’t keep anything else separate, except for how we should view Hunter. Because when someone is called up from NXT to WWE (like Bayley, Sasha Banks, Sami Zayn, Finn Balor), they're not introduced as new character. We’re supposed to know all about them, because we saw them in developmental. But anything Hunter is involved with on NXT/CWC? Well, just ignore all that! Why? Because he’s Hunter dammit and he's bigger than NXT! THAT'S WHY!
The company’s storylines are impossible to follow, because they continually break the fourth wall in ways that no other TV show has ever done. No wonder they got that Raw rating…
