WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Sept 4)
1. Killing A Good Thing
The buzz that Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton delivered at SummerSlam was great. It was a brutal moment that left fans wondering what part (if any of it) was real. WWE has killed that momentum pretty damn effectively.
This Monday’s Raw saw Stephanie McMahon and Paul Heyman argue about money...and the women’s movement, and her buying ECW, and the fine being rescinded, and probably 30 other things. Actually, I still have absolutely no clue what they were going for there.
WWE doesn't know what they hell they’re doing either. That much seems clear, but the important this is that it got Stephanie on TV.
The $500 fine was an initially clever way to show that Steph really wasn’t mad about the Shane attack. Cool, leave it at that. But it’s like they reversed the idea of what that fine meant, and then they re-wrote that part of the show right before it aired, because had that planned it out any further in advance that would make them seem even more idiotic.
What we saw was a long, rambling, narcissistic, unnecessary, damaging segment that was composed of nearly all the worst pieces of the company.
Oh yeah, and Steph basically calling Heyman ugly is an a**hole move. There was a million thing she could have gone after him for character wise, instead she went with his physical appearance. What about that not being a bully stuff again? Maybe she should leave TV for awhile and go to more of those rallies.
Time to kick out.
