WWE Are The Only People On Earth Who Can't Figure Out Why WrestleMania 42 Ticket Sales Are Low

TKO/WWE chiefs hold crunch meeting to address lower than expected WrestleMania sales.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has served up details on a "multi-department company meeting" conducted by WWE/TKO on 11 February. The gathering was held to address concerns about lower than expected advance ticket sales for April's WrestleMania 42 weekender in Las Vegas.

At time of writing, sales for each night are approx 10,000 down from 2025's 'Mania 41 held in the same venue (Allegiant Stadium). WrestleTix is also reporting that both nights have shifted around 36,000 tickets. For reference, the final attendance for 41 was announced as 58,538 (Night 1) and 60,103 (Night 2).

It's understood that bosses want to establish a full steam ahead strategy that'll bolster these numbers and get 42's attendances up to a more respectable level. However, it's also being reported that WWE/TKO won't alter prices for either night - those are higher than they were last year, by the way.

Last week, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp noted that WWE will stop "watch parties" for WrestleMania 42 within 50 miles of Allegiant Stadium. In other words, any venues/bars/clubs that are inside that radius won't be able to beam the show live. This decision has likely been taken to try and sell more briefs for the event itself, but local establishments are said to be unhappy because it'll affect tourism.

The city of Las Vegas obviously paid a hefty fee to bring 'Mania to the city again in 2026, so WWE are probably ruffling some feathers with the way they're going about things here.

Opinion: WWE Only Have Themselves To Blame

Ludicrously high ticketing fees that price most hardworking people and families out of attending events was never going to be a sustainable strategy, and WWE/TKO only have themselves to blame here. The average price to attend even basic shows like Raw and SmackDown remains sky high, and TKO execs have doubled down on that approach in recent times.

Further, running WrestleMania in the same city 2 years running might have an impact too. Vegas is clearly an expensive place to visit for most folks, and the supply and demand nature of hotel rooms in the area whilst WWE is in town will lock some out too.

Honestly, what did they think was going to happen here? How much more can the company squeeze from loyal fans? There's a fine line between offering premium ticket prices and just taking it too far. Now, as things stand heading into WrestleMania 42, WWE is seemingly finding out what most already knew: The prices are OTT and unrealistic.

This reeks of, 'Well we've tried nothing to ease this...but nothing has changed and we don't know why!'.
