Many on social media seem to believe that Kane is heading for a mini-feud opposite Baron Corbin, something which will - on paper at least - help develop the comparative rookie further. Whilst that could be added to the Backlash card, WWE might instead decide to feed Kane a squash match that could lead to Corbin hitting the scene later.

On SmackDown, Kane came out and demolished Fandango as the dancing fool berated a supposed dance partner. Although it's unlikely management would give such a match house room on pay-per-view, it could be nice filler for the Kickoff show, even though short.

There, Fandango could interrupt the usual commentary hyping the upcoming pay-per-view, hitting the ring to call out the 'Big Red Monster' for a face-to-face chat. Challenging Kane to a match, Fandango would get more than he bargained for. Only then would Baron Corbin show up, taking Kane out post-match.

It's a pretty paper-thin scenario, admittedly, but this is certainly one match that nobody would ever expect to see on a pay-per-view show. Right now, it's topical.
