WWE Backlash 2016: 10 Shocks That Could Happen

The Miz has held the WWE Intercontinental Title since April 4, 2016. Of course, that was the night after WrestleMania 32, when Miz defeated Zack Ryder on Monday Night Raw to capture the strap. Since then, he's been occasionally let down in terms of opponents WWE have thrown his way, but also been consistently entertaining throughout all of that.

Dolph Ziggler is coming off of a loss at SummerSlam, where he challenged Dean Ambrose for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. There's been little logical explanation as to why he's suddenly The Miz's top challenger, other than the fact the SmackDown ranks didn't have anybody better.

Therefore, it'd be curious to see WWE shift the Intercontinental from Miz to Ziggler at Backlash. As odd a move as it would be, it could happen. After all, the company like to keep things fresh with their secondary titles, and a heel Miz has held the gold for well over 150 days at this point.

If those in charge do decide to take the belt off Miz, there's a stunning way they could go about it...
