Look, I understand the idea of the noble athlete getting knocked down time and time again, but at some point they have to win the big one lest they get dismissed entirely. New Japan Pro Wrestling has this problem with Hirooki Goto right now; a big Goto push has been teased for so long that it no longer seems worth running with.

WWE is getting dangerously close to a similar situation with Becky Lynch. The Irish Lasskicker has come up short on a number of occasions now, as well as being betrayed more often than any adult should.

The first SmackDown Live Women's Champion is to be crowned on Sunday night, and unless WWE has some fantastic storytelling up its sleeve it absolutely must be Becky Lynch. Becky is miles ahead of the rest of the division when it comes to crowd reactions and match quality, and the time is right to pull the trigger on her.

Alexa Bliss is going to steal the title though, isn't she?
