WWE Backlash 2018: 10 Things That Must Happen

6. Becky Lynch Accidentally Costs Charlotte Flair

If Becky Lynch wants to reignite her career on SmackDown, then she needs to break out from Charlotte Flair's shadow. There's a simple way for WWE to start a new chapter in Becky's career and keep the SmackDown Women's Title on Carmella without her getting another win over Flair at Backlash.

Towards the end of the match, seeing Becky sprint out to chase off the invading IIconics only to "accidentally" smash Flair in the face with a big forearm sounds more interesting than the alternative; a clean win for Carmella, who is best when she's oblivious to her own shortcomings, is flat out boring.

The women's division on SmackDown needs proper stories that develop over time rather than another mini-gang, and that's what Charlotte, Becky and even Asuka are becoming.

Afterwards, WWE can move Lynch into Charlotte's spot as Carmella's main challenger, pen Flair to be irate about that and sow the seeds for one of them (preferably Becky right now) to turn heel before SummerSlam in August.
