Look, being realistic there's pretty much zero chance this actually happens, but these nightmares are rooted in fantasy. It's more of a Silent Hill-style tortured fantasy than anything else, but yes. WWE would be mugs to take the United States belt from one-man wrecking crew Jacob Fatu so soon after he'd won the thing at WrestleMania 41.

Mugs, for crying out loud!

May marks the US Title's turn to do what IC did in April and go multi-man. That's another reason why creative shouldn't be tempted to bung AJ Styles and Finn Bálor into the fray alongside 'Dirty Dom' and Penta elsewhere. Back on the SmackDown midcard side, new champ Fatu defends vs. ex-champ LA Knight, Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre.

Priest or McIntyre would be fine picks to hold the strap someday themselves, but not right now. Nah, it's really important that Jacob holds the belt for a Gunther-esque length of time to fully establish himself as somebody who's a future World Champion. The dude's a WWE megastar in the making, after all. It'd be best if he proved far too physical even for brutes like Priest and McIntyre.

The only threat posed here comes from Solo Sikoa's treachery. He and Jacob will come to blows sooner rather than later, but they should do so whilst contesting the United States gold. In other words, there's no desire from fans to see Knight hold this title again any time soon, or for WWE to spring a shocker in the form of some Damian vs. Drew continuation over Fatu's recently-won prize.
