WWE Backlash 2026: 9 Nightmares That Could Come True

1. Or he’s CenaHausen!

Could things get even worse? They bloody well could, you know.

Listen, this is unlikely, but Cena did interact with everyone else involved in the tag match at WrestleMania 42. So, what if he puts on some face paints to become Danhausen’s special guest partner vs. The Miz and Kit Wilson?! That would kinda dump all over his retirement match vs. Gunther last December, but this is wrestling and stuff like that happens occasionally.

Promoters rarely look back the way for too long. Only forwards. If someone higher up (whether on Triple H's creative team or within TKO's power structure) believes that Cena teaming with Danhausen would give the spooky little merch seller a rub that'd shift even more t-shirts, then there's always a chance it could happen.

They'd have to hurl a big load of cash at John, sure, but that could be arranged. Besides, if he got a cut of any "CenaHausen" shirts, then he'd probably be happy. Back on the negative side, it'd be a huge slap in the face to anyone who cried when he smiled then tapped out to Gunther in Washington right before Christmas.

Cena's retirement is too fresh for this sort of comedy comeback spot. It'd be even more insulting if the gag was that it wasn't actually John - "it was CenaHausen". It's a nope from this fan.
