WWE: Batista - 5 Awesome Matches And 5 That Sucked

3. Batista (c) vs Triple H - Hell in a Cell / World Heavyweight Championship - Vengeance 2005 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8YodGpTQBk This bloody classic was the third in a series of main event matches with Triple H. After Batista won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 21, there was a rematch at Backlash 2005 and then this one at Vengeance 2005. It was the main event that capped off a really solid pay-per-view, with the two wrestlers waging war inside the locked cage. This was a hard-hitting memorable match-up. The 'Hell in a Cell' pay-per-view that now annually holds the gimmick match, is super tame compared to the original and rarely done classics involving Foley, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Triple H. This is one of the best of them. One element very unexpected for these two; a seldom seen element of hardcore wrestling comes into play as a steel chair wrapped in barbed wire is brought into play. This match solidified Batista as the main event guy he was being placed to be. He showed his versatility in the ring working a match of this kind, elevating him from that point on into the draw he is today.
