2. Batista vs Randy Orton - Armageddon 2008 Similar in tone to the "Blockbuster of the Summer" with Cena, this match was years in the making too. Batista would face former Evolution stable-mate Randy Orton "The Viper" in a colossal match-up. A man who'd made his name as the "Legend Killer", assaulting various veterans such as Hulk Hogan, Dusty Rhodes and Mick Foley. As you might expect this wasn't a technical masterpiece (has Batista ever had one of those..?) but was a back and forth encounter that saw the two men push each other to the limit. With a solid narrative going in, it made for a really unforgettable clash. The two sculpted athletes waged war in the ring and if you haven't seen this before, I highly recommend it. If you're feeling skeptical of the two and their ability to work a good match together, watching this should make you much more excited for the potential of a Batista vs Randy Orton WrestleMania 30 match.
