Touching on his forthcoming role in Guardians Of The Galaxy, you get the feeling Batista can't believe his luck. In an ideal world the WWE would have been able to play off the film a lot more, selling the fact that their babyface champion is a Hollywood movie star. That hasn't proved possible because of the way WWE fans received the former World Champion, making him the least liked WrestleMania main eventer since The Miz in 2011. First of all discussing how uncomfortable he was acting, before getting used to the buzz of it, Batista reveals that it was movie action star Vin Diesel who opened doors for him. Batista's agent then tried to land his client the role of Drax in Guardians Of The Galaxy, but admitted to the star it was an unlikely long shot. Much to The Animal's surprise, he landed the role. He says this is the key to the rest of his career, but also sounds almost reluctant to do another movie. "I came off the movie knowing I got the experience I needed to make it in Hollywood," he says, but then adds, "I'm happy to be here in WWE, we're not looking past this" Batista is under a two year contract which will expire January 2016, but since the DVD was filmed he has expressed disdain with his status in WWE. He left his current run early because of his unhappiness. So perhaps wrestling is again about to be marginalised, with an alternative career in Hollywood maybe now looking a better option.
