WWE Battleground 2015: 10 Things We Learned

8. Feud Against Bray Wyatt Can Only Help Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns is in almost a recovery period from his time spent portraying John Cena-lite. That was a failed experiment, one that never should have happened in the first place - it's one thing to try and make Reigns a likeable, top babyface, but another altogether to effectively have him be a clone of someone many adults in the audience don't particularly like. How was that ever going to work!?

Cheerfully, things have changed somewhat, or at least they're in the process of changing. Roman has largely dropped the smiling face routine, and now adopts more the ass-kicking nuances which helped endear him to the fans in the first place. The more feuds Reigns can have with the likes of Bray Wyatt, the better, because they're perfect for him.

Wyatt is popular with the crowds, but only because he's so good at what he does. Nowadays, top heels usually end up getting cheered, just look at Kevin Owens. This is because they're obviously skillful, and fans enjoy that. Nonetheless, Wyatt is a great villain, and his more grotesque appearance and mannerisms complement Reigns nicely. It'd be nice to see these guys square off again at SummerSlam.
