5. The Miz Is The Third Wheel In Intercontinental Title Picture

Nobody can deny that The Miz is an excellent talker, and he has managed to consolidate himself on the roster somewhat after a period of pretty much being the darling of the pre-show 'Kickoff' match. Maybe that can be attributed to Daniel Bryan's injury and stripping of the Intercontinental Title, opening a space in the title hunt, but there's a good chance Miz would have faced Bryan for that belt at some point anyway.

With Ryback on the shelf for a while, the planned Triple Threat encounter at Battleground pitting the 'Big Guy' against both The Big Show and The Miz didn't go ahead. Instead, fans were 'treated' to a filler promo from the loudmouth heel, Miz, who was promptly shut down by an irate Big Show following one of the giant's trademark knockout punches.

It's coming across loud and clear that The Miz is the third wheel in the Intercontinental Title scene, which definitely isn't a good spot for him to be in. As the best promo between the trio vying for the strap, The Miz should be in a stronger position, but it seems unlikely he'll be the one to take that title from Ryback. There are likely a lot of fans hoping that Big Show won't be that man either.
