If ever further evidence was needed that WWE have been neglecting the main roster Divas division for too long, it was there - live and in living colour - at Battleground. Simply put, both Charlotte and Sasha Banks, who had previously been plying their trade mainly on NXT - which is, y'know, supposed to be 'development' - came across as better equipped professional wrestlers than Brie Bella.

This is the same Brie Bella who has been on the main roster for years, usually in a featured position. It was stunning to watch as she was overshadowed by relative newcomers, and it's clear that fans enjoyed watching the NXT starlets far more than their more-seasoned counterpart. So, where does this leave things if audiences are picking up on the fact that the main roster Divas may not be the best ones?

At least there's a lot to keep attention and focus on the female league in WWE at the moment, which is more than could be said previously, when it was blatantly thin on the ground in terms of numbers. It's startling to even imagine, but Brie Bella will likely become a better performer by working with those coming up from NXT.
