WWE Battleground 2015: 10 Things We Learned
2. Brock Lesnar Is Far More Effective As A Killer Heel
Before the surprise ending, it was remarkable to watch how the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar was booked. John Cena had previously been utterly demolished by Lesnar on Pay-Per-View, so it seemed unlikely that Rollins would be permitted to look anything other than cowardly against 'The Beast', and that's exactly what happened.
Running away from Brock, Rollins offered precious little resistance at Battleground, and really seemed to be well on his way to losing his WWE Title before none other than The Undertaker resurfaced to stun everybody in attendance. It was obvious just by watching fan reaction to Lesnar's vicious beatdown of the champion that people love seeing the guy destroy opponents, but does it really work when he's painted as a good guy?
Brock Lesnar has been exciting, incendiary and dangerous since his return in 2012, and that's something he shouldn't be booked to lose. At Battleground, there were elements of the match being a foregone conclusion, but shouldn't it be the other way around? Shouldn't the babyface be the one up against it, rather than a surefire winner?
