8. Intensity Of Becky Lynch

At Money In The Bank, Natalya turned on Becky Lynch when the duo lost a tag-team match to Charlotte and Dana Brooke. The turn came out of nowhere, but that only made it more shocking and effective. This wasn't hot-shot booking, WWE have given context to Natalya's actions, the wrestler herself explaining her distaste at always being overlooked.

After several random ambushes on Raw and SmackDown, Lynch had seen enough. She began to retaliate, and it was crucial that such a level of intensity was carried over into a match between the pair at Battleground. Right from the first bell, it was, and the scrap was better for that.

Seeing Becky get stuck right into her hated foe felt satisfying, giving the match a realism that is sometimes lacking in pro wrestling. Why wouldn't someone be desperate to launch a full-on attack at a fierce rival? That kind of thing is simple storytelling, but just makes sense.

Lynch's start to the match, then Natalya's constant attempt to slow things down and act the veteran, helped things greatly.
