WWE Battleground 2016: 10 Things You Probably Missed

1. Cesaro's Impassioned Promo On Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

Post-WWE Draft, Cesaro cut a promo that many picked up on. Citing his disappointment at being picked by Monday Night Raw, the 'Swiss Superman' also claimed he wanted more of an opportunity between the ropes. The idea of this new angle for his character was furthered at Battleground.

Sadly, those who don't keep a close eye on the Kickoff show might have missed it. Joining Renee Young, Booker T and Jerry 'The King' Lawler to hype up the match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, Cesaro had a different goal in mind. Namely, he wanted to chastise the pair for interrupting several of his matches, and said he felt they'd never end their ongoing rivalry.

This was something a little bit different from the usual Kickoff panel fare, and it worked wonders. Cesaro really shone as a thinking man's pro wrestler, someone who desperately wanted to be inside the ring rather than sitting in a suit waxing lyrical with legends and a pretty host.

If anybody did miss out on this promo, it's one well worth revisiting the show for.
