WWE Battleground 2017: Best Booking Scenarios For Each Match

What's the best booking for this match? Cancel it, and give John Cena and Rusev new opponents.

Seriously, there is no good outcome here. Cena just returned, and looks to keep his promise to beat everyone before his inevitable and looming retirement. Rusev, meanwhile, made a bunch of empty threats regarding a WWE Championship match at Money in the Bank, and has only recently returned to live television. This, of course, is after his burial at the hands of Roman Reigns, a bizarre feud with Enzo and Cass, and a pairing with then-jobber Jinder Mahal.

Both men desperately need a win here.

Also, it's a Flag Match. Has anyone ever looked good in a Flag Match? Why didn't this just take place on America's Independence Day, when it was much easier to forget about?

Best case scenario is that Rusev doesn't get completely buried when he loses to Cena. Nobody loses this type of match in their home country, because apparently nobody has informed WWE that it's no longer cool to hate someone just for being foreign.

Hopefully, after the inevitable Cena win, Rusev can do something to get his heat back. Maybe he could hit The Champ with the Bulgarian flag. Anything to make sure someone comes out of this match not looking terrible.
