WWE Black Wednesday Releases 2020 - Where Are They Now? (One Year Later)

20. Tino Sabbatelli

Sabby AEW
AEW

Sabbatelli gets his own entry here because his story is unique.

A torn pectoral muscle suffered in April 2018 kept the photogenic muscleman off NXT television for two full years prior to his release. He showed up in AEW as Sabby three months after being cut, teaming with Brady Pierce in a Dark loss to Best Friends, and that was that.

When Chris Jericho blasted an "NXT reject" for leaking Eric Bischoff's surprise Dynamite appearance that August, saying that the culprit would "never be f*cking back in AEW," speculative fingers pointed towards Sabbattelli.

Two months later, it was reported that Tino was back training at the WWE Performance Center. A coincidence? Possibly, but the conspiracy theory is far sexier.
