WWE: Where Can Daniel Bryan Go If He Misses The Royal Rumble?

Find Another Way To Get To The Championship Match

Wwe Belt With one major championship now, the Elimination Chamber has become a little less relevant to the proceedings of Wrestlemania. In this age of long term championships it seems pretty obvious that whoever is the winner of the WWE World Championship after the Royal Rumble will have a very good chance of headlining Wrestlemania (though stranger things have happened). Other times, the Elimination Chamber has been used to determine the No. 1 contender for the other World Title that the Royal Rumble winner was not going to participate in. However, the WWE have also used the Elimination Chamber to have 2 No. 1 contender matches, with the Royal Rumble winner slotting into the title match he saw fit. This could work if the WWE are desperate to have Bryan still in the championship picture. There are some significant drawbacks to this though. Firstly winning the Royal Rumble is a major crown in any superstar's resume. It could weaken the moment if the WWE decide to just thrust another superstar into No. 1 contendership. Secondly, Triple Threats are notoriously risky in nature, with many superstars and bookers alike claiming how they find them pedestrian and predictable. Indeed there really has been only one Triple Threat Match at Wrestlemania (Shawn Michaels vs Triple H vs Chris Benoit at Wrestlemania 20) that has been good enough to be worth all the effort. Still, if the WWE are adamant that sticking the title on Bryan is what they want, then winning an Elimination Chamber match should give him the push he needs.
