WWE Cancel ANOTHER SmackDown Live Show Amid Wild Card Chaos

This is becoming a habit for WWE...

House Show Cancelled

In a move that will shock absolutely nobody, WWE have just cancelled their third SmackDown Monday night house show in four weeks.

The company broke the news yesterday, stating that the SmackDown event scheduled for the Tony's Pizza Event Center in Salina, Kansas scheduled for Monday 27 May had been moved to Saturday 26 October. Old tickets will be honoured for the new date and WWE have directed anybody seeking a refund to their point of purchase.

The venue has since issued a full apology to anyone inconvenienced by the rescheduled show.

Like the previous cancellations, this is almost certainly down the Wild Card Rule. SmackDown's top stars are almost certainly needed to appear on Raw that night. In the company's eyes, this takes precedence over a random house show, so they've taken the step of rescheduling the live event rather than delivering a lacklustre card.

Monday night house shows scheduled for 6 May and 20 May have also been cancelled in recent weeks. The growing habit has led to speculation that WWE might soon cancel Monday live events outright, which would probably be a smart move if the Wild Card Rule is to continue.
