Through storyline back injuries and three straight defeats, WWE pulled out all the stops to make it look like Cesaro was headed for complete embarrassment in the 'Best Of 7 Series' opposite Sheamus. Slowly but surely, the Swiss star was written to claw back the score, eventually making things even at 3-3 recently on Raw.

Clash Of Champions marks the final bout in the series, and it's entirely plausible that Cesaro will complete his comeback and win the entire thing. It shouldn't be forgotten that a mysterious title shot awaits the victor, although it hasn't been made crystal clear exactly which belt this is for.

Maybe WWE are hoping that a 4-3 win in the series for Cesaro ably prepares him for a crack at Kevin Owens and the WWE Universal Title. If so, that's fine, but he has to overcome a game Sheamus on pay-per-view first.

Cesaro's back problems and the Irishman's prior confidence have to roar back into view, only then will the sharp-dressed Swiss see his big win mean something. There's no solid reason why it shouldn't if booked correctly.
