WWE Clash Of Champions 2016: 10 Things That Must Happen

3. Rusev Is Allowed To Look Competitive Against Roman Reigns

Rusev's days as WWE United States Champion seem to be numbered. Having held the belt since May, the Bulgarian has restored some prestige to the title following Kalisto's time in possession, but it does look like he's going to be displaced. On the pay-per-view, Rusev looks to defend his pride and joy against Roman Reigns.

As a heel is in command of the WWE Universal Title, those calling the shots just might want a babyface holding the secondary strap. Of course, it's genuinely difficult to (with a straight face at least) call Reigns an out-and-out good guy, a large section of the fan base boo him out of the building. Still, WWE are determined.

Win or lose, Rusev has to look competitive when in there against Roman. Should he be swept aside like cannon fodder, it's back to square one for Lana's 'Super Athlete'. Since leaving the ill-fated League Of Nations earlier this year, Rusev has been back on the right track.

Losing the United States Title won't change that unless he's made to look like a mid-card chump by Roman Reigns at Clash Of Champions.
