Quickly shifting any title from wrestler to wrestler is rarely a winning formula. Title reigns must be given the time to develop if they have any hope to become memorable, and the same goes for Kevin Owens stint in possession of the WWE Universal Title. Coming out of Clash Of Champions, he remains the champ.

Seth Rollins was KO's first major obstacle on pay-per-view since winning the title, and there were some niggling worries that his tenure would be a fleeting one. After all, Rollins is a safe pair of hands as champion, and his last big title run was prematurely ended by injury.

With all that in mind, WWE's decision-makers came through for Owens at Clash Of Champions. He's still being talked about as the right man for the gig on screen by Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon, and is routinely having some of the best matches on the shows he stars on.

There's nobody on the active Raw roster who deserves the Universal Title more than Owens at the moment, and the latest pay-per-view proved that WWE realise this.
