WWE Clash Of Champions Vs. Backlash: 8 Comparisons To Decide The Better Show

2. Most Memorable Moment

There's two potential candidates here, and they both took place on the blue brand.

While the symbolism of Kevin Owens main eventing his first pay-per-view almost 21 years to the day that his father ordered his first one to watch is definitely powerful, as well as seeing the men formerly known as Steen and Tyler Black going from high school gymnasiums to the biggest promotion in the world, the honor of the most memorable moment of the night belongs to one of two men on SmackDown.

The first and most obvious choice was AJ Styles winning his first WWE world title. If there's a more deserving wrestler on Earth I'm not aware of him. Since debuting at the Rumble he's been consistently awe-inspiring in everything he's done and has put on matches and segments worthy of a champion. Seeing AJ Styles as a main event titleholder in WWE is surreal, yet here we are.

The other option is Heath Slater winning the tag team championship. Heath has never been much more than a comedy character but it's obvious those within the company have placed a great deal of trust in him; he is the one chosen to frequently work with the legends, after all. He's a hard worker who has accepted his role without complaint and always gone out of his way to be entertaining.

Seeing him finally be taken seriously as a competitor and bring home some gold to his kids, his double wide and his new above ground pool was a real treat, and an awesome feel-good moment on a show that had several.

Advantage: Backlash
