WWE: CM Punk's 10 Most Infamous Incidents

The Voice Of The Voiceless, The Second City Saint, The Best In The World or simply just Phil Brooks. Whatever name you know him by, you also know him as CM Punk, one of the most outspoken, opinionated people in the history of professional wrestling (sorry Vince, I meant sports entertainment). Never afraid to speak his mind, Punk has made a career out of creating emotions in his audience, his colleagues and even his belligerent boss. I grew up watching the Attitude Era and back then not everyone had access to excellent wrestling news articles, we had to just accept what we were seeing on Raw, SmackDown and Sunday Night Heat that week. Now, however, we have a vast number of online dirt sheets just begging to bring us news on all the latest backstage politics, incidents and controversies. At the heart of a lot of those incidents and controversies is the one and only CM Punk, and here I'm going to take a look at 10 of his most infamous incidents in the WWE.

10. Relationships

Cm Punk Lita1 CM Punk isn't necessarily what you would consider a 'ladies man,' but boy has he worked hard to change that perception. Punk has had a string of relationships since joining the WWE locker room, and doesn't show any signs on slowing down just yet! He started out his WWE reputation of Straight Edge Player back in 2005 when he was a young upstart in Ohio Valley Wrestling (the predecessor to FCW, WWE's former developmental territory) when he began dating Maria Kanellis. This lasted until 2007 when Punk was a major star of the WWE reboot of ECW and they simply couldn't make it work only seeing each other 2 days a week. Next up came my absolute favourite Diva ever - Lita. Prior to dating The Best In The World, Lita had had a tumultuous time in a relationship with Matt Hardy and immediately afterwords/simultaneously Edge - this was ancient history by the time she dated Punk of course, they started seeing each other in 2009 before splitting in March 2010. They reunited in 2012 and lasted almost a year until their ultimate break up in 2013. Following a handful of months of the single life, Punk started a relationship with the longest ever reigning, defending Divas Champion in WWE history - AJ Lee. As of this writing, they're still happy and together. I'm starting to feel like I write a gossip column so let's get back to some wrastlin' shall we?
