WWE Considering Digital Inductions For Hall Of Fame 2022?
This year's WWE Hall of Fame ceremony could be a little different...
At least part of this year's WWE Hall of Fame class may be inducted digitally.
Speaking on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that due to time constraints, WWE may end up turning to digital inductions. This is down to this year's Hall of Fame ceremony running only 90 minutes between 10:30 PM ET and midnight on Friday 1 April, following that night's episode of SmackDown.
Meltzer added that The Undertaker's induction "being so big" further limits the time window for other inductees, meaning WWE may not have time to feature its entire class of 2022 in-person.
The Hall of Fame 2022 show will go out on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network elsewhere. These things typically run for somewhere between three and four hours, through the 2018 ceremony stretched as long as 4 hours and 23 minutes.
Undertaker and Vader are the only names to be announced for the Hall of Fame's class of 2022 thus far, though additional inductees are expected soon. These days, the company typically opts for six traditional wrestling inductees along with the Warrior Award winner and the expanded Legacy wing.
