One that will likely be dispelled the moment this article gets published, knowing my luck, is that Stone Cold Steve Austin could be collecting an appearance fee. And hey! Good for him?

For a WWE Saudi Arabia show, Crown Jewel feels weirdly devoid of their usual quota of Crusty Old Guys. Flair and Hogan are here, sure, but they're no working, and with no advertised appearances for Undertaker, Triple H, Goldberg et al, it feels like a card weirdly devoid of their usual nostalgia. Not so much that it's affected sales, but enough that they've probably bust the old Rolodex out.

There's plenty of talk about WWE bringing back Stone Cold's podcast on the Network later this year, and in the process having him feature on TV more to help cross-promote it. With all of that, it's easy to see where these rumours are coming from, but as of Wednesday morning, his Instagram still has him at home in Texas. Watch this space...
